Graskop Gorge, Viewing Lift, Forest Walk, BigSwing, Zipline, Suspension Bridge

Activity Description

Graskop Gorge Lift Company Adventure Hub
The Graskop Gorge Lift Company is centrally located on the Panorama Route. While it is an ideal stopover point, it is also an end destination in its own right, with lots to do on-site and in the area. Most areas are wheelchair and pram friendly. Activities included in the entrance fee are the Suspension Bridge, viewing decks and elevated walkways, that link both sides of the gorge, craft market and curio shops plus access to The Lift Café restaurant and bar, Swing Café restaurant and bar.
Visitors may not consume any of their own refreshments (food or drink) on the property, and music and pets are not allowed. Additional activities on site include a Viewing Lift and Forest walk, the Big Swing Jump and a two trip Zipline.

The Suspension Bridge
Our spectacular 52m-long Suspension Bridge spans the northern and southern sides of the gorge. Enjoy breath-taking views while standing 70m above the ground. The Suspension Bridge sways slightly when other people are on it but offers a relatively sedate experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains, rugged cliff faces, forests and the Motitsi waterfall.

The Viewing Lift and Forest Walk
The viewing lift takes visitors 51m down the face of the gorge into the indigenous forest below, where wooden walkways & suspension bridges make up a 600m trail. Interactive exhibits and interpretation boards enable visitors to explore the diverse life that thrives under the dense canopy of trees. Enjoy the waterfall and meandering stream. The ticket purchased is multi entry and visitors may use the Lift and do the Forest Walk as many times as they want to in one day.

Fly across the gorge on a high-wire Double Zipline. The course starts from the top of a 5m tower, with 360° views. Participants ride a 120m-long zipline to the northern side of the gorge before walking a short distance along a scenic platform and zipping back along a second zipline of equal length. Get to view the scenic views of Graskop and the Gorge Lift.

Big Swing Jump
The Big Swing is one of the world’s highest cable gorge swings and launches off the top of a waterfall. The experience is very different to a bungee-jump because participants freefall for 70m before the jump rope pulls them into a high-speed arch and they swing from one side of the gorge to the other. When falling, they reach 140km/h in three seconds
For an additional cost, you can capture your jump on camera. Cost includes USB flash drive.

The Lift Café
The Lift Café is a spacious, inviting, fully licensed, ala carte restaurant, selling Pizzas Burgers, Grills etc with the most spectacular views. On warm sunny days, sit back and relax on the balcony and take in the panorama views: From the waterfall, Big Swing and Zipline on the left to past the lift and across the gorge and to the magnificent valley in the distance on the right. Enjoy ice cold draft beer on tap and delicious meals while absorbing all this wonderful nature. On cooler, wetter days, watch the clouds and mist gently rolling in and out of the gorge past the lift, while gathered around the crackling fire, sipping red wine or a perfectly brewed cup of local coffee and indulging in appetising temptations from our kitchen.

The Swing Café
The Swing Café is a laid-back, fully licensed chill zone that invites you to Get Delicious, Real Quick! On the menu is flame-grilled chicken and a choice of sides, plus an array of beverages. Spend a couple of hours enjoying one of the best views in the Lowveld, while watching the Big Swing and Zipline action. Last orders at around 6pm. The Swing Café has a choice of seating, from a gorge-edge counter to patio style tables and chairs and inviting couches. Indoor seating is available too.
