Customer Reviews

Graskop Gorge Lift was a wonderful experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by my friends and I. Very well set out in a beautiful location. My only grievance was the cost as I do believe it is slightly overpriced. - Natasha Wood

I was extremely impressed with the Graskop Gorge Lift - the views are spectacular and it is very professionally run. The walkway through the forest was magical, and I loved how the boardwalk really blended into the forest without impacting too much on the trees. The educational signage is of an extremely high standard, as it is very informative with interesting information and numerous interactive aspects, and is presented in a creative, engaging way. A impressive accomplishment ! I would have loved a few of the forest trees to have been named, as I was intrigued as to what they were. The only negative comment is that the restaurant took AGES to serve our meal. Although the meal itself was good, we had waited so long for it which delayed other activities planned, that we didn't really enjoy it. - Helene Loon

We bought our tickets online (which was truly hassle free) and visited the Graskop lift over the long weekend on our way to Hoedspruit. We loved the attention to detail with regards to the entrance to the lift, giving everyone a sense of appreciation for trees and forests. The lift itself was provided a smooth way down, again putting us in awe of how gigantic some trees are. The walkway was great too with a few bridges to cross and steps to climb, and if you're quite enough, there are many a bird to be spotted! We were mostly impressed by the information posts throughout the walk as they had current scientific facts and were beautifully displayed. All staff that we dealt with were also friendly and happy to help. The restaurant is also lovely and not badly priced. Overall, a great experience as a quick stop. However, we hope that the price of the tickets will be lower in future so that we can visit more often. - Bianca Jardim
